The Inglebrook Ladies Society

I am so excited right now, I can hardly contain myself!

I adore ladies clubs and groups. I find them charming and wonderful, magical almost. I've wanted a group of friends to fellowship with for quite sometime but have never done it. I decided one night that I just needed to do it, so I asked my dear friend Ellen what she thought of it. Ellen loved the idea, and I am so glad she did!!! I absolutely can not wait to begin!! I made an invitation tonight and will be printing them and sending them out soon!

We will be doing crafts, baking, swapping recipes, sewing, eating, talking and just having a great time in general! What I am most excited about is that we plan on up holding this group through out our lives; and that we want to help the community along the way. Perhaps through nursing homes or church groups, possibly even the hospital in our community.

If anyone has any ideas or has a group like this feel free to let me know!!! I'd love some direction here :)

I've made some owl cuppies for a sweet girl's 1st birthday and I will share those with you. I simply used a boxed cake mix! For the decorations I used melted chocolate to dip them in and be smooth, oreos for the eyes, piped frosting for the ears and feathers, and used yellow frosting for the beaks! be creative and I hope this inspired you! The idea is from the adorable book Hello Cupcake! I adore that book, it has great ideas and awesome pictures to show how-to's! Definitely check it out!

Welcome

Hello all!

I hope summer has hit for you like it has hit here for us. Summer is always happily welcomed and is a relief after cold weather! But....... Oklahoma summer's are incredibly hot and steamy! Sometimes baking things in this kind of humidity is difficult. Nothing ever turns out the same! but is always fun :)

My baby sister is a senior in high school. At tiny school's here it becomes a big to do when students are senniors; her class has a special lunch together every single month and certain family members cater for them. This Thursday is one of those lunches- and my mother and I are two of those women! I was going to make cute little sugar cookies shaped & iced as barns with an adorable sheep cake! (a lot of the kids are in FFA hehe) but sissy didn't want that. grrr. sooooo gotta come up with a new plan!

I realize that I have not posted any recipe or any craft on here tonight. This is my initial post and I feel as though I have become a part of the blogging world officially :)

With love,
Bonnie Sue
